Everyone welcome. Tattoos too.
Tsuru-no-yu is a traditional sento (public bath) loved by locals since 1952, reborn in April 2026 and famous for its saunas. The perfect finish to a day of soba and temple-hopping at nearby Jindaiji. Enjoy a craft beer after your bath. No reservation needed.
All guests are welcome, regardless of tattoo size.
Never been to a Japanese public bath? It's easy. Here's the whole ritual.
Put your shoes in a locker at the entrance and keep the key with you, then head to the front desk.
Adults ¥600. Sauna is extra: +¥500 on the men's side (barrel sauna) / +¥200 on the women's side. Credit cards, IC cards and QR payments accepted. Rent towels here too.
Everything goes in a locker in the changing room. Only your small towel comes into the bath area. No swimwear, no phones.
Rinse and wash your body at the sitting showers first. Shampoo and body soap are free.
Hop between the hot baths, the cold bath and the saunas. Keep your towel and your hair out of the water.
Finish with a craft beer in the lobby, or pick from the drink lineup: lemon sours, herbal tea and more.
Jet bath, electric bath and ultrasonic bath. Properly hot, the way Tokyo locals like it.
A gentle radon bath filled with rubber ducks. Kids love it, and so do tired adults.
Soft, natural well water, generously overflowing. The perfect plunge after the sauna. No swimming or dunking your head, please.
One of the hottest mist saunas in Japan, scented with herbs. A gentler way to sweat.
The only barrel sauna at any Tokyo sento. Self-service löyly, plus an outdoor cool-down space with a chimney view. On the men's side; the sides swap every Wednesday.
Four craft beers on rotation, draft beer, lemon sours, and an original herbal tea you can even sip in the bath area.
Men's and women's bath areas are separate. The two sides swap every Wednesday, so Wednesday is the day for women to try the barrel sauna.
Most guests spend 1 to 2 hours. There's no rush. Come as you are, leave when you're ready.
Stay as long as you like. Just listen to your body and hydrate.
We have a baby bath and a diaper-changing space (women's side). Our motto: ages 0 to 100.
Quiet chatting is fine, but please keep voices low so everyone can relax.
No water fountain in the changing room, so grab a drink at the front desk first. Non-glass drinks can be brought in.
Hair dryers are free. Lockers on the men's side take a ¥100 coin, returned when you're done.
Use us as your run station for just the admission fee. Tell the front desk "run-ste, please."
Please let us know in advance by phone or Instagram DM.
Opening-hour changes and events are posted in Japanese on our news page and social media.
